I know everyone must be sick of hearing about the Samsung Galaxy Note7 by now, but in recent days Samsung has finally gotten really serious about getting consumers to return the device. Not only have they ceased production, but they’ve requested that carriers globally stop selling the device — including the replacement units. The XDA Developers office has received a Samsung Note7 return kit, complete with multiple nested boxes, safety gloves, and instructions.
The Return Kit comes with various boxes, including a thermally-insulated box for the device and safety gloves for handling the procedure as “some individuals might be sensitive to the ceramic fiber paper lining the Recovery Box”. The instructions are precise and also we’ve learned this should only travel through ground shipping.
XDA posted a shot of the packing instructions and letter which accompanied the return kit.
In addition, they also posted a video of the “return kit” contents.
