Mac users saw the release of two new MacBooks yesterday, and LG has announced two new LG UltraFine displays to complement the MacBook and MacBook Pro. Designed to integrate with the new MacBook and MacBook Pro models, the UltraFine 27″ comes with a 5K resolution while the smaller LG UltraFine 21.5″ monitor touts a 4K resolution.

“We are excited to be introducing two highly advanced displays capable of meeting the needs of even the most demanding Mac users,” said Brian Kwon, president of LG Home Entertainment Company “Not only do these UltraFinedisplays offer stunning picture quality, they will usher in a new age of connectivity, helping creative users achieve optimal efficiency in their homes, studios or offices.”

27″ LG UltraFine 5K monitor

The 27″ LG UltraFine 5K monitor with Thunderbolt 3 support has a resolution of 5120×2880 (218 ppi), and covers 99% of the P3 color space using advanced IPS display technology. Color shift and color loss from any angle is also minimized, and a monitor like this will definitely appeal to video and photography professionals.

In addition to being the first 5K display with Thunderbolt 3, this monitor can also receive and transfer 5K video, audio, and data from the MacBook Pro while charging it at the same time through a single Thunderbolt 3 cable. The monitor also houses three USB Type-C ports for additional connectivity, a front-facing camera and microphones, high fidelity integrated speakers, and a height and tilt-adjustable stand.
