Speed up your Xbox One gaming with Seagate’s Game Drive for Xbox SSD

One of the great features of the Xbox One is the ability to plug in an external USB 3.0 hard drive to not only increase your storage but also to be able to take your games on the go with you. Seagate has already released the 2TB and 4TB Game Drive for Xbox and is following up with the 512GB Game Drive for Xbox SSD.

While the Game Drive for Xbox HDD can store between 50-100+ games, depending on size, you’re still stuck with the slower speeds of HDD drives. While the 512GB Game Drive for Xbox SSD will only store around 15 of your favourite games, the average read/write speed is increased from up to 140MB/s to a whopping 440MB/s. Upgrading your laptop or desktop with SSDs definitely improves performance, and doing the same for your Xbox One should net you a noticeable difference in game loading times. After all, 45 seconds or more can seem like an eternity some days when waiting to load up and get into games like Gears of War 4 or Forza Horizon 3.
