iClever is one of those companies that offers a plethora of products including wired/wireless headphones, wall chargers, USB hubs, and plenty more. The item at hand today is the BTS-07 wireless Bluetooth speaker, which has two 3W speaker drivers to push out great sound quality, a cool design, and battery life to get you 10 hours of playback. Let’s dive into the review and take a look.

Design

When I first glanced at the iClever BTS-07, I honestly thought it had a flat front face and the sides were curved and the back was the same way, flat. Of course getting a better look at it, the front and back have a slight curve to it that meets the sides of the speaker, to give it a pretty cool design. On the front of the BT speaker, there’s not much going on other than the iClever logo front and center.

The back is home to the power on/off switch, a flap that hides the 3.5mm jack and micro USB jack for charging. The sides of the unit are blank, so nothing is going on there. As for the top, you have four buttons: Mode, call, volume down (-), and volume up (+).

The bottom of the wireless speaker has a really tiny stand that’s turned into a rubber piece, so the speaker doesn’t slide around on surfaces. For kicks and giggles, I tried sliding the speaker around on the counter and no avail. It stayed in place, so you can expect no movement if you accidently knock into it.

Ease of Use

To be honest, I thought the power button was the Mode button for a second until I fully read the manual and found out the on switch was on the back of the unit. Once switched on, the Bluetooth pairing mode automatically starts, and it’s pretty easy to pair it with your smartphone. Once paired, the rest is pretty easy as well — simply play music and do your thing.

Speakers

I’ve used plenty of Bluetooth speakers in the past and they’ve all sounded great, and the BTS-07 from iClever is no exception. The sound quality is great and gets plenty loud if you have a house full of people thanks to the two 3W speaker drivers. Bass and treble are on par too, and neither one seems to more louder than the other, which is what I prefer in a Bluetooth speaker. Unless there’s a slight boost in either the treble or bass, I don’t mess with the EQ and I didn’t have to with this speaker at all.

Call Quality

I don’t particularly like using Bluetooth speakers for phone calls, but in cases like these, I use them to test the quality of course. With the dedicated mic that’s on the speaker, people were able to hear me just fine if I was in the same room as the speaker. I did have to speak a bit louder, which isn’t an issue, but I was able to hear folks on the other end just fine too.

Battery Life

iClever states you can receive up to 10 hours of playback time and I hit a little over 8 hours. Everyone is different in how they’ll use speakers, so you could easily hit 10 hours of music playback depending on what volume you tend to listen at.

Price/Value

With an MSRP of $99.99, the iClever BTS-07 is currently on sale for the low price of $29.99 — and you can’t go wrong by getting this speaker for this price. Better yet, get it for a stocking stuffer for someone who may be in need of a new Bluetooth speaker for Christmas.

Wrap Up

In all honesty, for the price of $30, you really can’t go wrong with getting this speaker for yourself or someone you know. All around, it’s fantastic because of the sound quality and a different take on the design.
