Moto Z/Z Force will be Daydream-ready with Android Nougat

Motorola’s modular smartphone, the Moto Z and Moto Z Force variant, are getting Android Nougat (7.0) starting this week. Not only that but the innovative smartphone will also become Daydream-ready with the update. Prior to this latest news, Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL were the only two devices that were officially Daydream-ready, and now the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, and Moto Z Droid (Verizon variant of the Moto Z) are listed on Google’s Daydream-ready phone list beside the Pixels.

Daydream offers an unprecedented opportunity to dive into a kaleidoscope of experiences. With Daydream, you can explore new worlds, attend a sporting event or concert, enjoy your own personal cinema and so much more. To get started, you’ll need Google’s VR headset and controller – Daydream View – available at Verizon, Best Buy and the Google Store in the U.S. Check your local stores in other markets.

As if that wasn’t enough, Motorola is offering $250USD off Moto Z bundles, which include your choice of a Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, or Moto Z Play Droid from Verizon, or the Moto Z or Moto Z Play from AT&T, T-Mobile, and other carriers, and your choice of either the Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod or the Moto Insta-Share Projector Mod. That brings the price down to as low as $457.99USD for the Moto Z Play Droid with one of the two Moto Mods on Verizon, and up to $769.99 for the Moto Z Force Droid with a Moto Mod. Definitely not a bad deal at all if you’re in the market for a new phone or looking to pick up a gift for someone for the holidays.

If you’ve been on the fence about picking up a Moto Z, will you be considering it now that it’s getting Android Nougat and supports Daydream VR — especially with the Black Friday discounts being offered? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
