Xbox has been on a roll this month by providing freebies this month with Xbox Gold members getting nine free backward compatible games last week, an update boosting downloads speeds, and the Xbox team working on adding Dolby Atmos to the Xbox One and Windows 10 devices. With just over a week left in the year, and there will be one final blowout with the Xbox family giving users the biggest Xbox sale ever.

Starting Thursday, December 22 until January 9th, 2107 the sale dubbed “Countdown” will be offering some goodies for all, including movies, music, games, and Gold memberships. To start off with, Xbox One and Xbox 360 users will see up to 60% off on a huge selection of games. Even ones that came out this year like Battlefield 1, Final Fantasy XV, and Watch Dogs 2. If that isn’t enough to entice you (not sure why you wouldn’t), there will also be over 40 backward compatible games on sale.

Next, those that do not have Gold membership can get it for $1 for the first month. That’s pretty badass, even if you still have to pay for the following months. Even then, Gold members do get an extra 10% discount during the countdown sale. With being a Gold member, you get to unlock free games each month, get up to 67% discounts on games during the Countdown sale, and of course having the ability to play online with friends.

Want to download some movies or TV shows? Movies start out at $9.99 and go up from there, and popular movies will be will be discounted. Bundled movies such as collections will be discounted up to 33%, hit TV shows will also be discounted up to 33%, and TV favorites will be discounted by up to 50%.

If you’re into music and have been thinking about using Groove Music, well now’s your chance as you will get a norm30-dayday trial, with eligible customers getting three more months for free. Nothing is specified about how or who is eligible, but it’s still worth a shot on trying out Groove Music.

Those that are Xbox Live Rewards members will get up to 10% back with purchases through the Xbox MyVIP program. Also, every dollar you spend in the Xbox Store before December 31st will count towards your Star Rank for 2017.

With some awesome deals coming out starting Thursday, I’m definitely going to get myself Battlefield 1 since I don’t have it already, but tell us your thoughts about the latest Xbox sale?
