MWC (Mobile World Congress) is right around the corner and plenty of companies will be showing off some new gadgets or prototypes of what they’ll be coming out with either later in the year or sometime next year. Motorola… or should I say Lenovo, supposedly has plans for showing off this year’s Moto G series handset.

Two new leaked images of what could be the Moto G5 came from Dudu Rocha showing off the back of the device along with the chin where the fingerprint scanner sits. As for the G5 Plus, there won’t be much of a difference. From the image above, the camera is similar to the Moto Z, but with no camera bump without a mod. It also looks like the possible G5 will have a removable battery with the way the metal body is designed, but for now, take this with a grain of salt.

The fingerprint scanner will work much like the Lenovo Z2 Plus, it’s all operated by gestures. Swiping left will take you back and swiping right will be your multitasking. A few more rumors are the Moto G5 will come with a 5-inch display, run on the Snapdragon 430 SoC, offer 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 12MP/5MP rear and front-facing shooter, a 2800mAh battery and Android 7.0 Nougat. The Moto G5 Plus may have a 5.2-inch display, the Snapdragon 625 SoC, and 32GB internal memory. The camera setup will be the same, but the battery will be 3000mAh.

I’ve said it once, so I’ll say it again, but take all these leaks with a grain of salt until the smartphones are announced at some point at MWC. What are your thoughts about the new Moto G5 and G5 Plus leaks? Let us know by leaving your comments down below, or on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.
