LG is offering a Google Home unit when you purchase an LG G6

LG seems to enjoy giving things away when it comes to getting their devices in people’s hands. Back when the LG G4 came out in 2015, you were able to get an extra battery to make sure your phone was charged at all times. That kept going as the LG V10 and LG G5 both had a promotion receiving an extra battery, SD card, or 360 Cam if you bought those specific devices.

This time around, LG seems to be saying “go big or go home,” allowing folks to get a Google Home unit by purchasing the LG G6 when it arrives in stores. That deal should be available through all four major US carriers once they have the phone for sale. T-Mobile sent along their current promotion information specifically. The phone will be available through the UnCarrier on April 7th for $26 for the down payment and only $26 per month for the equipment installment plan ($650 full retail). Nothing yet for JOD (Jump on Demand prices), but when the time comes for the phone to launch, those numbers will be provided. If you get the phone before April 30th through any of the carriers, you’ll be able to redeem a promotion for the Google Home unit ($129 retail) via LG’s promo site.

As a reminder, the LG G6 comes with a 5.7″ 18:9 QHD+ FullVision IPS LCD display with a Snapdragon 821 SoC, 32GB internal storage (expandable), 4GB RAM, a dual 13 megapixel rear facing camera, and a 5 megapixel front camera. There is also a non-removable 3,300mAh battery and the phone is IP68 water and dust resistant.

I wouldn’t mind upgrading my G5 to the G6 and getting another Google Home put in my house.  Do you plan on getting the LG G6, even if it’s just for a free Google Home? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
