Design

Night lights come in all shapes and sizes. The OxyLED OxySense LED Night Light is one of those with a very thin and low profile design. The white housing is just under 3″ wide and tall, and just over an inch thick (including the power prongs). The bottom 1 ¼” is roughly 1/2″ thick as it houses the sensor electronics and power prongs, while the rest — which houses the LED light — is roughly  3/8″ thick.

The OxyLED OxySense LED Night Light has a nice, simple look to it.

The front of the OxySense LED Night Light features the LED light panel which is roughly 1 7/8″ across and 1 1/4″ tall. Below this is the OxyLED logo in grey.

Flipping the OxySense night light up, you’ll see the small smart light sensor. On the back, in the bottom third, is where you’ll find your AC power prongs. Based on the design, you’ll want to plug it into the top socket of a dual socket power outlet. If you don’t, you’ll be covering the top outlet and losing a spot to plug something else in.

The smart light sensor sits underneath the bottom of the night light.

When plugged into a wall socket, the OxySense LED Night Light doesn’t extend far from the wall, and won’t detract from your general decor.

Ease of Use

The OxyLED OxySense LED Night Light is super simple to use — simply plug it into an available wall socket and you’re good to go.

Performance

Once plugged into a wall outlet, the OxyLED OxySense LED Night Lights perform as expected. When it’s day time and there’s enough light in the room, the night light is off. As the room gets darker, the night light turns on for added illumination. A cool feature about the OxySense LED Night Lights is that the smart light sensor adjusts the intensity of the night light based on how dark the room is. In other words, the darker the room, the brighter the LED will be.

The OxySense LED Night Light has a thin profile.

While the LED light is bright, it’s a soft warm light and isn’t blinding when you look at it and illuminates the room or hallway nicely. As it’s an LED light, you don’t have to worry about it heating up and potentially burning your kid’s fingers if they decide they have a need to touch it while it’s on.

Price/Value

The OxyLED OxySense LED Night Light is available in a two pack with an MSRP of $29.99USD or a four pack with an MSRP of $39.99USD. At these prices, some might find them a bit expensive, especially the two pack. However, both options are currently on sale on Amazon for $13.99USD and $24.99USD respectively. These prices are a much better value and a no-brainer if you’re in the market for new LED night lights.

Wrap-up

The OxyLED OxySense LED Night Light offers a low profile, auto-sensing, plug in and forget LED night light solution which uses less energy and allows you to save money.
