Westworld creators tease new series regular for season two

There’s no question HBO’s Westworld was one of the better shows last year. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. That being said, if you haven’t finished the first season yet, this article definitely contains spoilers. You’ve been warned.

Based on the Michael Crichton movie from 1973 (no, unfortunately, there isn’t a book), the HBO series takes you into an amusement park where vacationers can interact with lifelike robotic hosts. Should a host “die,” they are repaired, reset, and reintegrated into the park — sometimes in a different role.

After the finale in December, which featured a brutal turn of events in which the hosts turned on the guests, there hasn’t been much news from the creators aside from the disappointing fact that the series won’t be returning until 2018. However, news has surfaced on EW that Talulah Riley, who appeared in two episodes of the first season, will be back as a series regular as Angela.

In the next season, we’re told Angela is “a host whose beatific face welcomed guests to Westworld for decades … Angela will prove to be one of the last faces many guests will ever see.”

With that statement, the sci-fi/western/drama is sure to pick up right where it left off. Talulah will be joining a (hopefully returning) great cast which includes Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright,  James Marsden, Ed Harris, Jimmi Simpson, and others.

Have you seen Westworld yet? What did you think of it? Do you think Talulah Riley will make a good series addition? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
