Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 and S8+ are due to arrive in user’s hands in a few weeks. One of the newest features on Samsung’s latest device is the Bixby button. The Bixby button calls up Samsung’s new digital assistant which is supposed to be really useful. While many users have yet to even use or hold an S8, there are already questions on how to re-map the Bixby button. Re-mapping the button is impossible to do within Samsung’s own software but being Android, an alternative app can do it for you.

The app is called All in one Gestures and with some tips from the xda community and YouTuber All About Samsung, you can get to re-mapping the Bixby button in no time. Before you watch the video below or head over to xda to read more about using this app there are a few things to keep in mind. All in one Gestures does ask for a bunch of permissions you may or may not be comfortable sharing with the developer. Some major permission asked for are, the ability to read text messages, access to your camera, access to your photo library, and access to your device’s location.

The app also contains ads and has in-app purchases which are two things you need also be aware of. The whole process is pretty straight forward and easy to do, it’s just going to come down to whether or not you trust the developer of the app. Giving permissions is a huge deal these days and if you’re especially concerned about security, it may be something to rethink.

What do you think of this method of re-mapping the Bixby button? Do you think Samsung should add the ability to re-map that button? Do you think they would offer it? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
