Marvel vs. Capcom, a great classic that many should know allows you to pit Marvel Universe characters against Capcom’s greatest fighters. It started out as an arcade game and eventually worked its way to our homes by arriving on our gaming consoles. It has been some time since the last Marvel vs Capcom has been out, but if you can wait until September 19th, you’ll be able to purchase the newest game — Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite — and once again battle it out.
In the trailer, we see a handful of playable characters, such as Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, and Ultron on the Marvel side and on the Capcom side, we get to see Chun Li from Street Fighter, Chris Redfield from Resident Evil, Strider from Strider, and Mega Man from, you guessed it, the Megaman series. From the trailer, it looks like the storyline will involve you fighting up against a merged version of Ultron and Sigma (Megaman X) to stop them from, you know, taking over the world. The game will feature a two on two battle system, the first of its kind for the franchise, so seeing how that is will be pretty cool since you won’t really have much of an assist from teammates like in the previous games.
If you’re wondering what pricing will be, you’re looking at $59.99USD for Playstation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Now, if you’re not one for just the standard version, you will have the option of paying for a Deluxe Edition that will give you future characters and two DLC costumes, or spend $199USD for the Collectors Edition and get four plastic character dioramas of Captain Marvel, Chun-Li, Iron Man, and Mega Man X in a case filled with six Infinity Stone replicas.
