VIZIO’s SmartCast P-Series Ultra HD HDR XLED Pro displays have debuted in Canada, and aim to deliver ultimate picture quality complete with enhanced detail, color, and contrast. Using XLED Pro, VIZIO’s full-array local dimming backlight technology, the SmartCast P-Series televisions feature Dolby Vision and HDR10 content support at Ultra HD 4K resolutions.

The 2017 collection builds on the 2016 models which received an Editor’s Choice award from Reviewed.com and was listed as one of the “Best TVs of 2016” by CNET, the new models boast an expanded contrast range with their HDR10 and Dolby Vision support. VIZIO’s Ultra Color Spectrum has over one billion colors for richer, more accurate color detail while the Xtreme Black Engine Pro feature achieves extremely deep black levels. The television sets also include Clear Action 960 technology and 240Hz effective refresh rate for smooth, stable, and realistic gaming and action-packed scenes.
Users will be able to control the SmartCast P-Series TVs with the included remotes or via the SmartCast Mobile app for iOS and Android. Both the 2016 and 2017 lineup will receive an over-the-air (OTA) update which brings the SmartCast mobile experience directly to the big screen, making apps accessible from the display.
The SmartCast TV home screen greets users with content recommendations and favorite apps. Users can easily browse content with their remote before launching TV shows, movies and more, directly from their display with the touch of a button. A revamped out-of- box experience and easy first-time setup helps consumers get their displays up and running. SmartCast Mobile offers yet another way for consumers to access their favorite entertainment. By simply downloading the SmartCast Mobile iOS or Android app, users can turn their mobile devices into the ultimate touchscreen remote where they can search, browse and stream content and control display settings from any room in the house. Apps like Crackle, Pluto TV, Red Bull TV and more have been integrated into VIZIO SmartCast Mobile allowing viewers to easily search and stream shows from their mobile devices to the big screen.
The SmartCast P-Series displays also feature built-in Chromecast support for easy casting from your mobile devices to your TV. With an MSRP of $1799CAD for the 55″ version, $2999 for the 65″ model, and $4,999 for the 75″ size, the VIZIO SmartCast P-Series displays are available at Costco Canada, both in-store and online.
