This wireless solution is something many have been wanting and waiting for.

Wireless Apple CarPlay has been available as a feature in some autos for some time now but there has never been an aftermarket solution, until now. The Alpine iLX-107 is the first aftermarket deck to offer wireless Apple CarPlay but it won’t come cheap. With a $900USD price tag, the Alpine iLX-107 is priced aggressively. While many other aftermarket decks offer Apple CarPlay (including other Alpine units) all of them require the iPhone to be wired to the unit. This wireless solution is something many have been wanting and waiting for.

The iLX-107 features an ample 7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen with LED backlighting and offers up all the rest of the goodies any other premium deck would. The deck also drew attention at CES 2017 with a CES Innovations Award for outstanding design and engineering in the In-Vehicle Audio/Video category. For Apple users who don’t want to buy a new car with wireless Apple CarPlay but want this feature, this is the only player in town for now. Read the full press release below.
