If you’ve been itching to get your hands on a Google Home device, now may be the time. With Amazon’s Prime Day deals going down, Google is muscling in on the action with its own deal. The company is offering up the Google Home voice assistant speaker and a Chromecast for $99.99 USD. The price on the Home is normally $129 USD and the Chromecast is normally $35USD saving you around $65 USD on the bundle. The interesting thing is, the bundle deal doesn’t seem to be on the Official Google Store. Instead, you’ll find the deal over on Google’s Official eBay store.
As voice assistant speakers go, the Amazon Echo has been the clear leader in the space with Google pulling up the rear. Both offer up similar features with the Echo pulling ahead in some instances though Google does still have the search engine advantage. Apple is expected to get into the same space with its HomePod at the end of the year, though I suspect it’s going to compete more as a high-fidelity speaker than a voice assistant.
While Google is offering up this deal on the Google Home and Chromecast bundle, you can expect Amazon to offer up deals on the Echo soon. One such deal went down over the weekend (and is now over) with refurbished Echo’s selling for $90USD. You can probably expect there to be other upcoming deals on the Echo in response to Google’s bundle deal. Aside from Amazon, there are other great deals happening on Prime Day, so be sure to check it out. You will not find this Google Home and Chromecast bundle on Amazon but you can hit the link below to head over to eBay to pick it up.
