Netflix just dropped the trailer for MINDHUNTER and it looks very intriguing. MINDHUNTER follows two FBI agents on a journey to discover what makes serial killers tick. The series stars actor Jonathan Groff known for Frozen (2013), The Normal Heart (2014), and American Sniper (2014). As well as actor Holt McCallany who is known for Fight Club (1999) Alien 3 (1992), and Sully (2016).
How do we get ahead of crazy if we don’t know how crazy thinks?
That’s the key line in the series trailer and it sends the agents into a dark world and mind of the serial killer. The series is directed by David Fincher (Gone Girl, Zodiac), Asif Kapadia (Amy, Senna), Tobias Lindholm (A War, A Hijacking) and Andrew Douglas (The Amityville Horror, U Want Me 2 Kill Him?). Fincher, Joshua Donen (Gone Girl, The Quick and the Dead), Charlize Theron (Girlboss, Hatfields & McCoys) and Cean Chaffin (Gone Girl, Fight Club) are Executive Producers.
It’s interesting to see Charlize Theron here in an executive producer role although it’s not her first rodeo as a producer either. She’s also produced or been involved in some capacity of production, Atomic Blonde, Girlboss, Dark Places, Hatfields & McCoys as well as Monster.
The subject matter of MINDHUNTER is pretty dark and probably not everyone’s cup of tea but it does look pretty intense and interesting. We plan on checking it out when it releases on October 13th.
