A few weeks ago, Telltale Games announced the continuation of a few of their popular episodic game series. Batman – The Telltale Series was one of the three announced continuations and the second season has received a launch trailer ahead of next week’s launch.

In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman’s new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?

Like previous Telltale Games titles, Batman: The Enemy Within doesn’t require the first season to play, but for those who have they can carry their choices over to the second season. Troy Baker returns to voice Bruce Wayne/Batman and Anthony Ingruber reprises his role of “John Doe,” a.k.a. The Joker.

The first episode of the second season, “The Enigma,” launches on August 8th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and mac with iOS and Android releases available in October. The retail “Season Pass Disc” for consoles will also be available on October 3rd in North America.
