Apple’s iPhone Keynote event isn’t that far away and the company is busy starting production on the new iPhone. It’s believed that there will be three versions announced, the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and iPhone 8. We’ve talked at length about the iPhone 8 but the iPhone 7s has not gotten as much press. This new leaked photo coming from a Chinese forum shows what appears to be the back panels of the iPhone 7s.

What’s interesting here is what appears to be a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. It’s widely assumed that the iPhone 8 will have the fingerprint sensor embedded on the screen, but the 7s versions will not. We’re speculating that this is the 7s due to the camera module similarity to the iPhone 7. Of course, the photo taken here is super blurry, as most leaked photos are, so it’s always best to take these with a grain of salt.

The photo was posted on feng.com, a Chinese forum, and the user’s name was “Foxconn little brother.”  The post had no other information other than the photo and one line of text which says (translated by Google Translate):

Do not ask me too many questions, the mystery next month should be completely announced!

Samsung is getting ready to announce the Note8 in a few weeks which is expected to ride on the Galaxy S8’s success. It will be interesting to see what Apple has to offer with its new iPhone’s, especially the iPhone 8. This particular leak seems legit, at least from the months of speculation that’s been out there it seems like this is what the 7s versions will end up being. We shall see in September.
