Progress seems to be coming along nicely on Deadpool 2. Ryan Reynolds is obviously very excited about the happenings surrounding the movie, as he’s taken to his Twitter account to release a couple character shots over the last few days. Today we get our first look at Josh Brolin as Cable in Deadpool 2.

Now at first glance, Brolin’s face looks maybe just a touch too skinny for the time-travelling son of Cyclops, but that’s really just his face. Brolin’s Instagram account has basically turned into his own personal gym diary, showing just how completely jacked he’s gotten for the role. I mean…

We all loved the first Deadpool movie, and have high hopes for the sequel. From the outside at least it sure seems like they’re going to do it right.
As a bonus, just noticed that as I was writing this, Josh Brolin posted a full shot in his Cable regalia… Yup, that’ll do…
