Google Assistant headphones could be in the works

If there’s one thing Google hasn’t done yet — that we know of — is making a pair of headphones that go with your smartphone. That may just happen if 9to5Google has anything to say about it after they broke down the latest Google app update.

Yesterday, 9to5Google went digging into the new Google app update 7.10 and found something called “Bisto,” and it’s not the first time it’s showed up in the app. Back in version 7.0 was the first time it showed up, though there was nothing we knew of it back then.  Now that this version is out, it gives up a little bit more information about what “Bisto” really means, and it’s about smart headphones that can run Google Assistant.

A few things that we know about these so called “smart headphones,” other than they work with Google Assistant, is that there could be some physical buttons due to it being an over the ear version from code containing the words “top button.” Bisto is also apparently able to listen to any voice command you give it or play notifications with the ability to reply back. Last but not least, this Bisto headset will be able to update over the air (OTA) just like phones and tablets that are out today.

None of this could really mean anything if Google doesn’t add these features to headphones or even has plans to make them, but even so, with the Pixel 2 coming soon, there is a chance that we might see some kind of leak closer to the release date of Google’s latest flagship device.

What do you guys think about the possibility of Google coming out with a headset that can run Google Assistant like Google Home and the original Google Pixel? Let us know by leaving your comments down below, or on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.
