The Android Auto Coolwalk update is finally rolling out to beta users. The update brings a brand new layout which is more functional, albeit limited in customizability.

Users of both Android and iOS will also see a new feature that will allow them to report incidents–construction, lane closures, disabled vehicles, and objects on the road.
The speed trap feature will flash an icon when a speed trap is detected and when the driver is nearly upon said speed trap, an audio notification will alert them to slow down.

The 99¢/month Premium HD service offers all of the app’s features including HD Maps, Lane-Level Navigation, 3D Car, PIP Maps, and Offline Maps.
This is a big improvement from the current location card that shows up where you’ve last parked and can sometimes take a bit of time to update.
This won’t be a huge deal for all, but for some it could be pretty annoying.
