While plenty of cell phones are designed and modeled in the US, the Moto X was the only phone to be assembled here. Slumping sales of the custom-designed Moto-X were likely to blame. While the Moto X is a well-designed phone with decent specs, it never took off like I’m sure Motorola would have wanted.
