The new rules will apply to drones over 250 grams and 25 kilograms in weight and take effect starting June 1st.
The going hasn’t been easy though as Transport Canada released some pretty tight rules and regulations surrounding drone use last year.
The most notable change is the decreased distance you need to be from vehicles, vessels, and the public if your drone is between 250g and 1kg.
The rules apply to drones weighing more than 250g and less than 35kg and the fine for breaking any of the rules can be as high as $3,000.
