CNN Money is reporting that Apple ranks 46th among several other companies in research and development spending at $3.5b. While one of its hottest competitors, Samsung, is ranked 2nd with a massive $11.2b spent in R&D. Technology pundits are already speculating this as the reason Apple has not brought forth more innovation to market. While that is a valid argument and conclusion to come to, one can also look at Apple’s tendency to control and take charge of most everything it touches and argue they are simply wiser in what, where and how they invest R&D funds. And Apple has a tendency to be secretive, who knows what they have hidden in their Cupertino facility. Hit the link below for the source story.
