Ackeem Ngwenya a student of Innovation Design Engineering at London’s Royal College of Art has come up with his version of the wheel. He calls it, the Roadless Wheel. Ackeem hails from Malawi where the road infrastructure is nearly non-existent. Ackeem believes this wheel would help people move from place to place on dirt and rock roads with ease. Ackeem has designed a scissor-jack action that makes the wheel expand and contract giving it better handling on rough surfaces.
