Google Launching A Re-branded GoogleTV, The NexusTV?

Mashable is citing a report from The Information that Google is getting ready to launch a TV set top box called NexusTV. Take this all with a grain of salt but I do believe that Google hasn’t finished with GoogleTV. This makes sense in re-branding the product to align itself with the Google Nexus family. Mashable also says the NexusTV will not only stream video but will also be able to play games and will also have a motion sensor like Xbox Kinect. This is looking like it’s going to be a heck of a device if indeed these reports are true. The report also states that the NexusTV will be running Android which all GoogleTVs have done in the past. Are we likely to not see Android though? Could the NexusTV usher in the new ChromeOS/Android effort? It remains to be seen. Mashable is saying that Google may unveil this at CES 2014, we will be looking for it when we’re there and hopefully we can bring you some coverage. Hit the links below for source.
