Chromecast now has support for local media playback, podcasts, Facebook photos, Plex and more thanks to a huge update that should be rolling out for users today. Included in the update is newly-added support for apps from RealPlayer Cloud, Vevo, Viki and others. The biggest news of this update is local file playback, this was something that many Chromecast users were clamoring for when the device was first released.
