I might not be the most religious person around, but I can spot interesting tech when I see it. I came across a Kickstarter for the Forever Bible, described as a bible that “Literally Walks on Water.” While that might be a bit of a stretch, the materials and construction are quite impressive.
For centuries, publishers have printed the Bible with impeccable detail, using the highest quality papers and leather. We are continuing that tradition by printing the Bible with the very best materials that exist today. Using Space Age nanotechnology, we are able to print the Bible on an advanced paper that doesn’t use any trees, is 24X stronger than regular paper, and is completely waterproof, dirt-proof, tear-proof, and otherwise life-proof. The Forever Bible even floats in water, while keeping your notes and highlighted passages pristine.
We are proud to unveil the Forever Bible on Kickstarter! This project will allow everyone on earth to have a Bible that they can write in, live with, and cherish—no matter where their adventures take them. Missionary trips, summer camp, a weekend at the shore or the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Forever Bible is an all-conditions bible built for any terrain. If you can go there, so can your Forever Bible.
It seems to me that this technology might be equally served on some variety of survival manual, camping guide, something outdoorsy. Not to say that one of the most popular books in the world doesn’t deserve this type of treatment, but there do seem to be more broad applications. Plus, other types of books might be better for heathens like me (I’m probably not REALLY a heathen).
The Forever Bible comes with a choice of three covers, and several of the more popular translations. Here are a few more of the finer points.
Quick Facts on The Forever Bible:
- This is the FIRST Bible (ESV, NIV, or KJV) to ever be crowd funded through Kickstarter.
- We are able to customize covers for group/church orders (please contact us directly for getting this set up!)T
- The Forever binding process and the Forever paper are each patented technologies.
- Since the Forever Bible and Forever Journal float like the Ark, our campaign is 40 days (and 40 nights)! After that, we will be going into production mode to deliver orders for December of this year–in time for Christmas!
