Oppo have gained a huge following in the mobile world, offering an alternative to the larger OEM’s. Their excellent Find 5 was an instant hit with many users and developers alike. Oppo is a consistent supporter of several developer conferences and is well known for releasing full source code to their Color OS.
Oppo worked hard on providing their own flavour of Android, named Color OS as well as an amore ‘Googley’ AOSP version. Now it would seem that the Find 7 will follow suit with being quick at getting updates out to users. Oppo have not so formally announced (via Google+) that the 2.0 update for the Find 7 will be based on Android 4.4 and will be available next month. See screencap below and source link at the end.
The “unofficial” announcement was made in a post in response to Stuff’s very favourable review of the current 4.3 version of the Find 7. I am sure that update will filter down to its younger brother the OnePlus One, as they have already launched an AOSP version of 4.4.4 for the device.
Any users of the Find 7? Are you excited for Kit-Kat on Color OS? We would love to know about you experience of using the device and your thoughts on the OS upgrade to come. Let us know on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus.
