Tarantino Saddles Up For A Return To The West With The Hateful Eight!

|

This month’s Empire magazine confirms big news for fans of Quentin Tarantino’s work. Quentin’s The Hateful Eight will now be a 2015 release movie as a new poster is revealed featuring a horse drawn stage coach and a trail of blood on a white background.

Notably, the film will apparently be shot in 70mm CinemaScope which speaks to Tarantino’s love of using classic film styles for his movies. Cinemascope eventually led to the widescreen format used prominently today in films. The Hateful Eight was almost a “never was” story as a leak of the screenplay nearly doomed this picture from the start. Fortunately, after going back and forth about whether he was indeed making it, this poster confirms his story out of ComicCon last week that he was moving ahead with his 8th movie.

The Hateful Eight will feature a dynamite cast (which aren’t mentioned in this first poster) but will include Tarantino regulars like Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, and Samuel L. Jackson (of course) but will also include Bruce Dern, Zoe Bell, Amber Tamblyn, Kurt Russel, James Remar, and Walter Goggins.

According to Movieweb, the film will be a story about a group of dangerous individuals who seek shelter from a harsh winter storm at a saloon in the middle of nowhere (think From Dusk Till Dawn) and will no doubt include a bloodbath as this mix of volatile individuals clash against each other for survival.

On a personal note:  I think this might just be a new addition to my man cave movie poster collection. It’s an absolutely awesome promo poster. 2015 is going to be a mind blowing year for movies. What do you think? Leave a comment below or hit us up on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter!
