Bloodborne is Coming February 6th, New Trailer and Collector’s Edition Revealed

Early Thursday morning the official PlayStation blog posted a new trailer and Collector’s Edition details for their upcoming exclusive Bloodborne. Along with the blood-soaked gameplay you’ve come to know and love, the end of the trailer also revealed the release date for From Software’s newest game to be February 6th, 2015. To anyone following Bloodborne from its initial reveal during E3 2014, this trailer does not give much new information outside of a couple brief glimpses into new environments and enemy types. The gameplay is still very reminiscent of Dark Souls, but the visual are absolutely gorgeous this time around and animations look a bit smoother – especially for the creatures.

Also revealed in the blog post was the $80 Collectors Edition available on the same day. The contents are the standard Collectors Edition fare – SteelBook case, art book and digital soundtrack – but if you’re a Dark Souls/Bloodborne fan or just a fan of gorgeous SteelBooks in general, it looks well worth the extra $20.

Bloodborne is a collaboration between From Software and a Sony development studio located in Japan, so it’s no surprise that this spiritual successor to the multi-platform Dark Souls franchise is going to be a PlayStation exclusive. February is going to be a damn good month if you’re a PS4 owner getting sick of playing Destiny and are left twiddling your thumbs until Metal Gear Solid V comes out. Along with Bloodborne, the PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886 releases later in the month along with the multi-platform games Evolve and The Witcher 3. Get that extra family time now before you disappear into a cold poorly-lit room for three months straight.

Check out the trailer below and be sure to check back at MOARGeek for more information as the game’s February release date gets closer.
