Pre-Orders For Toys”R”Us Exclusive Lucario Amiibo Already Sold Out Online

The early consensus seems to be in, and people love them some amiibos. They are predicated to make Nintendo over $1 billion with their sales alone, and despite some serious lack of interaction outside of some cool things in Smash Bros., they are highly detailed and great little collectibles. Anyone looking to add the Toys”R”Us exclusive Lucario amiibo to their growing collection is going to have to wait, as online pre-orders are sold out, as initially reported by Destructoid.

Hope is not all lost if you do want a Lucario amiibo, of course. These are only pre-orders numbers, which Nintendo could easily increase before the February release date of the figure, or they could restock them afterwards. Either way, if you were not lucky enough to pre-order one, or don’t do so when the stock increases, chances are you won’t have a Lucario for a while unless you are willing to pay jacked up eBay prices.

Lucario is part of the “third wave” of amiibo figures, which will be released between January and February of 2015. Along with the legendary Pokemon, Toon Link, Bowser, Sheik, Sonic, Mega Man, King Dedede, Ike, and Rosalina will also be releasing at the same time, but lack the exclusivity hangup of Lucario. Also part of the third wave, Shulk and Meta Knight will be available exclusively at GameStop and Best Buy respectively – so if Lucario is any indication now is a good time to start pre-ordering if you want those two as soon as possible.
