3D Sound Labs has a goal to create the most immersive sound experience possible, and they’re making it a reality with Neoh, the world’s first smart 3D headphones.
Announced at CES 2015, 3D Sound Labs has spent two years researching and developing a mobile solution that matches movie-quality sound. Dimitri Singer, co-founder of 3D Sound Labs states that:

According to 3D Sound Labs, they have succeeded in creating algorithms that reproduce the way humans locate and translate sounds, allowing the Neoh headphones to recreate real life 360° 3D sound.
A Kickstarter for Neoh will launch later this month, with Neoh being available for preorder on 3DSoundLabs.com for delivery this spring.

We humans locate sounds based on the time differential between its perception via each of our ears, and on the way sounds are shaped by acoustic filters known as Head Related Transfer Functions (HRTF) depending on our individual faces and ears. 3D Sound Labs has developed algorithms with the ability to reproduce these spatial perception mechanisms and therefore detect the tiniest movement of the head to reconstitute sound sources in space and in real time.About 3D Sound Labs
