Yezz Begins Module Development for Project Ara
The Worldwide Mobile Brand Embraces the Modular Architecture That Ignites Trailblazing Innovation
Miami – February 24th, 2015 – The amalgamation of new technologies integrated into Project Ara will cause an inevitable transformation of the mobile industry and technology in its entirety. Project Ara’s diversification of hardware construction consists of new technological advancements that make consumer emancipation feasible: UniPro, M-PHY, and electropermanent magnets.
In order for modules to communicate with each other through the Endo, a high speed interface protocol is required. Enter: UniPro, offering a standard of communication between modulesasa high-speed interface technology that provides bi-directional connections for the data transfer among modules. The M-PHY is a serial interface technology that is able to relay large amounts of information with minimal connection points and very low power consumption. Then, there is the implementation of electropermanent magnets that permit the fixture of modules on the Endoskeleton, maintaining their magnetized state without exhausting power and only using current to activate and deactivate magnetization.
