With Mobile World Congress just around the corner and Samsung dropping hints as to “#TheNextGalaxy” being unveiled at their Unpacked event in Barcelona on March 1st, there has been a lot of speculation as to what the Samsung Galaxy S6 will look like.
Many have speculated that the Galaxy S6 will feature a curved edge (or even two) like the Galaxy Note Edge. It now appears that Spigen has unveiled the Galaxy S6 ahead of Samsung’s official announcement. On their Facebook page, Spigen posted an image offering pre-orders for their Samsung Galaxy S6 cases – complete with a rendering of the S6 itself.
Spigen’s website also has cases for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, suggesting two variants of the upcoming flagship device will be made available. Now before we get all excited, this rendering looks surprisingly like the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge – the noticeable difference being the placement of the flash and heart sensors to the side of the lens as opposed to below like on the Note 4/Note Edge phablets.
Case makers often get specifications or molds in advance of official releases, understandably to make sure there is a supply of cases for new devices right out of the gate. It is quite possible that Spigen is just rendering what they think the front of the device will look like given Samsung’s previous devices. It’s also interesting to note that Spigen has yet to release a case for the Note Edge, even though they have plenty of choices for the Note 4.
So is this the final design of the Samsung Galaxy S6? We’ll find out soon enough as March 1st is fast approaching, but in the meantime let us know what you think in the comments below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
