Two New Game Of Thrones Clips Released Ahead Of Season 5 Premiere

Game of Thrones is still well over a month away, but if you can’t handle the anticipation any longer HBO has been slowly leaking out clips through “The Sight”, their latest promotional campaign. The latest of such promos came yesterday when two clips were texted out to participants.
The first clip has Jon Snow and Mance Rayder in a tense meeting. Things aren’t exactly kosher between the two since Snow violently left Mance’s ranks. One of the last shots of Season 4 has Snow preparing to leave the relative safety of the wall and heading out to meet Rayder alone, one of the many differences from the book that the HBO series is taking.

Even shorter is the second clip, which has Brienne of Tarth musing to Podrick shortly after her fight with the Hound. At least that’s what it appears to be, since it looks like she’s still in the same place the battle took place and she’s covered in blood.

If you wish to sign up for “The Sight” you can do so at the specially-design Game of Thrones Three Eyed Raven website. Whenever one of these clips is released you’ll receive a text message prompting you go to a link, where you’ll be shown the clip once then not able to view it again. Previously, that was it as far as the previews went, but quick-thinking viewers were recording the clips and posting them on YouTube anyway. Game of Thrones has since taken matters into their own hands and begun posting the videos themselves on their own channel a day or two after they release through “The Sight.” But if you want to see them first, you’ll still need to sign up.
If you still haven’t seen it, the first official trailer for Game of Thrones Season 5 was released earlier this month in IMAX theaters, then quickly posted by the show’s official YouTube channel. You can see the whole trailer below.

Game of Thrones is set to return to HBO on April 12th at its usual time slot on Sunday nights. According to author George R.R. Martin, this season of the series is going to deviate greatly from the book series that he wrote – which the show is based off of. As he put it, no one will be happy.
