After a closed beta hit the Xbox One earlier this month, Perfect World Entertainment has finally announced the release date for their free-to-play MMORPG and Neverwinter will be coming to the Xbox One on March 31st.
Neverwinter for Xbox One will include all the content from the base game, all current playable classes including the Scourge Warlock, and the Tyranny of Dragons expansion at launch. The game also features optimized controls and will incorporate features such as friends list integration.
The free-to-play MMORPG has been out on PC for awhile now, and features fast-paced combat and epic dungeons. Based on the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms setting, players explore the city of Neverwinter and the surrounding countryside, undertaking quests and battling enemies along the way.
The PC version features micro-transactions, and it’s safe to assume that the Xbox One version will follow suit as well, although not much information has been released regarding them. There is no word yet if your PC progress will be transferable to the Xbox One or not.
Neverwinter will be free-to-play on the Xbox One with an active Xbox Live Gold membership.
In the meantime, check out some of the Xbox One gameplay footage from the closed beta.
