Blues and Bullets, an episodic noir story by A Crowd of Monsters (developers of Funk of Titans), has released a new trailer at GDC 2015. In addition, the game was the winner of the GDC Game Connection America 2015 Development Award (“Excellence in Story & Storytelling”).
In the game, players will play as a former detective in the city of Santa Esperanza. Throughout each episode, players will not only face off against powerful gangsters, but will also speak with companions, witnesses, and other characters. The choices you make as a detective will have an effect on the game and change how the story evolves across episodes.
The ID@Xbox release features a stylish black and white style to go with the noir effect, with hints of colour to highlight and enhance details – somewhat following in the style of the Sin City movies. As you can see in the trailer below, this adds a nice touch of colour and style to the game.
The first episode is expected to be released in the Summer of 2015 for the Xbox One.
