Full Deadpool Movie Suit Unveiled

After teasing us with a sepia tone picture of a prototype last month, Ryan Reynolds has officially unveiled the full suit he’ll be wearing when he plays the role of Wade Wilson in 2016’s Deadpool. It’s roughly on point with what fans have likely been imagining for some time, bearing a strong resemblance to the costume in the leaked test footage that kicked off the interest in the film in the first place. We can’t see under the mask itself, but it’s safe to assume that his mouth isn’t sewn shut and we can begin to move on from that atrocious Deadpool in X-Men Origins Wolverine.
The costume appears to be taking the most cues from the Daniel Way run of the Deadpool comic which spanned from 2008 to 2012 and featured the same type of black markings surrounding his eye, and black coloring along the sides of the costumes and legs. The mask is also lacking the odd pony-tail like extension that the current Deadpool sports, instead featuring a tight-fitting mask around his head.
As with most big Deadpool reveals so far – such as T.J. Miller and Morena Baccarin’s roles in the film, and the fact that it was being made at all – the beans were spilled via Twitter. This time it was Ryan Reynolds himself tweeting out the costume with (presumably) himself in the Deadpool suit prepared to be painted like a French girl in front of a roaring fire. To really nail the point he home he also included several tags and the newly-created official Twitter account for the Deadpool movie aptly called @Deadpoolmovie.

Deadpool is slated for a February 2016 release and stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, T.J. Miller as his partner-in-crime Weasel, and Morena Baccarin as Deadpool’s one-time lover Vanessa Carlysle, aka Copycat.
