System Of A Down Rocks Mortal Kombat X Launch Trailer

With Mortal Kombat X just around the corner, the videos keep on coming. The latest is the Mortal Kombat X launch trailer, which features “Chop Suey!” from System Of A Down, and is only fitting considering the trailer was directed by Shavo Odadjian, bassist for SOAD.

There’s no question the song fits well with the Mortal Kombat theme, and the launch trailer features glimpses of some iconic moments, as well as footage of new and returning Mortal Kombat Kombatants. The footage montage fits well with the track, and shows slower introductory moments mashed in with limb slicing, body breaking, and bone-crunching X-Ray special moves. I hope the track makes it into the actual game itself, because nothing says angry, button mashing, kick assery like a little SOAD.

Check out the launch trailer in all its glory below, and get hyped for the lastet in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Sadly though, there’s no footage of Jason Voorhees or Predator…
