Believe it or not, when Jurassic World releases in June it will be about more than dramatic music, fast motorcycles, and big dinosaurs, as this first extended clip proves. In the 95-second scene we see Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) establishing the relationship between the characters, and discussing how weird those trained velociraptors really are.
Pratt is still looking very Star-Lord-esque after his recent Guardians of the Galaxy appearance and his character in Jurassic World looks to be similar to the Marvel hero as well. A mostly-failing womanizer with a heart of gold who gets himself in trouble by getting too invested in things – only this time he’s invested in test tube dinosaurs instead of a green-skinned alien girl.

Along for the jurassic ride with Pratt and Dallas Howard will be Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Kate McGrath, and Nick Robinson. This will be the fourth film in the Jurassic franchise, but none past the legendary first film have been received with much critical acclaim. Jurassic World will try and change this fate when it releases on June 12.
