Telltale Games, creator of episodic interactive graphic adventure games, has announced a partnership with Marvel Entertainment which will see a Telltale/Marvel-based game coming in 2017.

Announced this evening in San Francisco, we’re excited to reveal an all-new partnership with the incredible team at Marvel Entertainment. We’ll be teaming up on the development of an upcoming Telltale game series project set to premiere in 2017!

Telltale Games has had some success in the past with bringing licensed content to their interactive game style including Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands, and are currently working on Minecraft: Story Mode.

Marvel Games Executive Producer Mike Jones teased that “It takes a long time to find the right partner. We have one special game we’re excited about”, but no further details were made available. Given Marvel Entertainment’s huge library of content, and the success they had bringing the lesser known Guardians of the Galaxy to the big screen, the game could feature any number of storylines and characters. You can bet we’ll be following this and letting you know when we hear anything further.

What Marvel story would you like to see Telltale games bring to your PC, console, or mobile device? Let us know in the comments below, or on Google+, Facebook, Tumblr, or Twitter.
