Marvel’s Agent Carter had a pretty good run in its inaugural season. The first 8 episodes were received very well, many of which receiving high marks on their MOARGeek reviews. As recently as the first season finale, it was quite uncertain whether or not Peggy Carter and the rest of the team would be able to continue their adventures in a second season. The Season 1 finale seemed to account for either scenario, as our review stated, leaving “just enough threads open for a potential follow-up season, but gives the events that occurred throughout the a series enough of an ending.”
Well, hopefully those threads are strong enough to carry more action, as it was announced last night that ABC had, in fact, picked up Season 2 for Agent Carter. Haley Atwell will reprise her role as one of the original Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and take on the nefarious minions of Hydra. No further plot details were announced, so we’ll need to wait and see what new and crazy predicaments will find the agents in the subsequent years after Steve Rogers’ disappearance. .
