After some concerns and recently leaked 720p Xbox One footage, CD PROJEKT RED has released some The Witcher 3 Xbox One footage to show how the dynamic scaling will work.

According to CD PROJEKT RED:

“The video you’re now watching is grabbed directly from an Xbox One console. We’ve been working to give gamers an even better experience on Xbox One and, on day 1, we’ll bring you dynamic scaling from 900p to 1080p. We’re not much more than a week before launch, but we’re still fighting for every line of code — we want gamers to get the best possible experience we can deliver.”

While I like my games to look great, I personally don’t buy the argument that games must run at 1080p/60fps to be enjoyed – I’d rather have a smooth experience with an outstanding story.

On a related note, the developer also announced that The Witcher 3 has reached 1,000,000 pre-orders ahead of its May 19th launch.

We’ve crossed the 1 million pre-order milestone and it’s all thanks to you guys! We would like to thank all the gamers for their trust and support,” said Marcin Iwiński, co-founder, CD PROJEKT RED. “This is the last stretch and we’re pushing hard — over the last two weeks, we’ve increased performance on all platforms and started working full speed on the expansions, Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine.

As we mentioned before, The Witcher 3 will receive 16 free DLCs that will be available for every gamer owning a copy of the game. The DLCs will be released in pairs on a weekly basis, starting from May 20th.

Have you pre-ordered The Witcher 3? Are you concerned about the gameplay resolution on the Xbox One? Let us know in the comments below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
