Syracuse University Students Cook Steaks Over Hot Lava

|

Lava isn’t the first source of heat you’ll be seeking to cook your steaks, burgers, dogs and salmon but the students at Syracuse University figured it would make for a cool experiment. Syracuse University runs the Lava Project which looks to study lava in all its fiery fury. So the students and professors of the lava project wanted to see what would happen if you tried grilling a variety of foods over hot running lava and the video below is the result.

It’s always fun when professors make learning fun and running that lava grill must have been intense. Those last few seconds when he throws that one steak on to sear on the lava was crazy, cannot imagine what that would do to a human being. All that aside the Lava Project seems like a cool study to be involved in, after all lava is a very interesting beast. It’s liquid at one point and when cool becomes a solid and is responsible for a lot of the earth we live on. I’m no scientist or intellectual for that matter but I can see the value in what the University is doing here and I think it’s pretty cool.
