Well, what do we have here? Talk about another Windows device that isn’t about the Cityman or the Talkman? Considering we’ve read enough right? Anywho, leaks have made their way to the surface (pun intended) about Microsoft coming out with a Surface style phone to go with its own branded Surface Tablets.
Code name “Juggernaut Alpha”, which was a code name used for the Surface Phone back in 2012, has shown up today three years later in hope to shine the light back on the forgotten rumor. Shown in the screenshot below, you can see the model version as “Juggernaut Alpha” with it’s OS version of Windows 10. Unfortunately, the OS version doesn’t let us know if it’s going to Windows 10 we see running on desktops and laptops now or if it will be the version running on Windows Phones. Right now, we’ll just have to wait until early 2016 for its release.
Specs on Mr. Juggernaut are wonderful and hopefully all true as it might make some spec people out there one happy person – that is if they don’t mind purchasing a phone running Windows OS on it. The rumoured phone is equipped with:
- OS Windows 10 (as shown in picture above. Final OS may change)
- 5.5″ Clearblack AMOLED screen
- Gorilla Glass 4
- 2K display
- Intel Atom x3 processor (64-bit)
- 4GB of RAM
- 64 or 128GB storage
- MicroSD card slot supporting up to 256GB
- 21 megapixel rear facing camera with PureView Carl Zeiss Lens
- 8 megapixel front facing camera with Zeiss Wide Angle Lens
- Wireless charging
- Stylus Pen much like Samsung’s S Pen on the Note series
This could be one hell of a phone if specs are true, but for now let’s all take this leak with a grain of salt just.
