New Shatterproof Moto X Force Is Leaked

In case you thought Motorola was done confusing us with all the Moto X variants for the year (not to mention the Droid variants), looks like we’ve got at least one more incoming. This one looks like an amalgam of all the best qualities of the entire Moto lineup and it will reportedly be called: “Moto X Force”

Do you like the water resistance and tougher nature of the Moto G but want a more powerful processor? Are you power-hungry for the big battery of the Moto X Play but live in the US? Are you lusting after the style of the Moto X Style but want something with more juice? Motorola was listening and is now mashing all those great phones together into a device that up until now was being developed under the codename: Bounce. With information being leaked by Upleaks well ahead of any official announcement, not all the details are yet in place.

As you can see in the tweet above, here is what the Force will supposedly be packing:

  • Screen: 5.43″ QHD
  • Processor: Snadragon 810 MSM8994
  • RAM: 3GB
  • Storage: 32GB or 64GB variants
  • Rear Camera: 21 Megapixels (same as the Moto X)
  • Front Camera: 5 Megapixels
  • Battery: 3760 mAh

Yes that is a bigger battery than the new Note 5 from Samsung. The phone will be reinforced and supposedly shatterproof. It stands to reason that an overall rugged build will also include at least some form of respectable water resistance. The look of the phone will follow the current Moto lineup, closer to the Moto X Play, and will presumably be customizable through Moto Maker.

There is yet to be any mention of price or availability but Upleaks is pegging this for a December release, giving Motorola a chance to sell some of it’s current Moto phones.

Do you think it’s worth waiting for this variant or will you be picking up one of the current renditions? Let us know in the comments or hit us up on social media.
