VOYO V2 TV Box – More Than Just A Streaming Device

|

Chromecasts are great. They provide a quick and easy way to stream data from your phone or tablet directly to your TV. With a few other exceptions though, that’s where a Chromecast’s abilities stop. There are some other streaming boxes – Amazon Fire TV stick, Hulu, and others – that offer some other features but all lack true computing power. What if you could attach an actual honest-to-goodness computer to your TV that you could use for streaming, games, watching TV, and more? What if you could also easily fit that computer into your pocket or backpack? What if that computer even had a built in portable battery pack to charge your devices while you’re on the go? The VOYO V2 TV box offers all of this and more.

Sure, you can hook your home computer or media center PC up to your TV and stream or game from there. That’s absolutely a viable option if you’re tech savvy and have the time/equipment necessary to do so. What the VOYO V2 TV box offers is a small and simple solution that can be plugged in and then carried away and used elsewhere quickly and easily. Sized at 5.15 x 3.26 x 0.63 inches, the VOYO V2 TV box will easily fit into a backpack, and will probably even fit into your pocket.

The device itself is encased in metal with a tempered glass surface creating a mirror-like surface. On the outside, you’ll have nearly all of the ports you could possibly want, including micro USB, HDMI, Ethernet port, 3.5mm Audio output, a standard USB, and the necessary AC adapter charging port. The radios and whatnot that won’t be obvious based on the exterior of the device include WiFi and BlueTooth 4.0. Some noteable features on the inside of the box include a 4th generation Intel ATOM processor with Intel integrated graphics, 2GB of RAM and 32GB eMMC ROM. The VOYO V2 runs Windows 10 home, and also supports up to 64GB of expanded storage via an SSD drive (not included). Also on the inside, that internal battery I mentioned earlier. In this instance it’s a 5,000mAh battery that can be used to charge other devices when the VOYO V2 TV box is not in use, or can even be used to power the device itself for a short time in a pinch.

The VOYO V2 TV box will export video in 1080P and supports resolutions up to 4K. You can also install apps and games from the Windows store to get access to necessities such as Office and other productivity software. Integrated graphics will certainly limit the gaming options with this device, though it still should be capable of some basic gaming. I might not recommend video editing either, but you should be able to do some basic photo editing as well.

The VOYO V2 TV Box is a pretty great deal starting at only $109.89 with an EU plug. If you’re looking for an AU, UK, or US plug you’ll spend a few more dollars, those models start at $115.99. Either way, that’s not a bad price at all for a mini computer. You can read more about the VOYO V2 TV Box or purchase one for yourself at the link below.
