Design

Inateck calls the BTSP-10 Plus “Small and Mighty” – and that’s completely true. Coming in at 2 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 6.5 inches long., this little beast will fit just about everywhere. Store it in backpacks, purses, vehicles, or on a desk. The front of the speaker is filled with black hexagons on top of a red colored speaker grill. Inateck’s logo is in the bottom right along with an indicator light that will flash red to let you know when the speaker is not connected to anything or red and blue when connecting to a Bluetooth device, and green when fully charged. On the right side is another hexagon and home to the 3.5mm jack, on and off switch, and a microUSB slot for the USB cable to plug into for charging the unit. On the left side are yet again more hexagons, while the back retains a clean finish. Inateck must really like hexagons. On the top you’ll see three buttons: Bluetooth, volume up (+) and volume down (-), and more hexagons and on the bottom are four rubber nubs that will keep the speaker in place from sliding around.

Ease of Use

Most people don’t really read manuals these days until it becomes necessary, or if you haven’t used a certain item in a while. I’m here to make it easy on you so you don’t have to read the manual. Power on the speaker and hold down the Bluetooth button for 6 seconds and allow your phone to search for nearby Bluetooth device. Once found, choose Inateck BTSP. You’ll hear a sound from the speaker letting you know it’s connected. From there, start playing music or videos or games. If you have a device that isn’t Bluetooth compatible, but has an aux port, plug in aux cable to both devices and you’re all set.

Speakers

After using the UE Roll for quite some time, I got used to how loud my music was by only having the volume around 50 percent. The Mini HiFi takes it to a new level. Having it on max volume was nuts! It was extremely loud while having no distortion. The bass was great for a few of the songs I listened to. Everything was drowned out by my music and I’m surprised my daughter slept through all the loudness.

Battery Life

With only 2,100mAh of battery life in the speaker, you wouldn’t expect to get 9 to 15 hours of playback time. After charging the unit over night, I connected my phone and let my music take over the next night. Over the course of four days, the battery life is still much alive even after using it for about four hours between the first and second day, while the third day was about two hours, and the fourth day was three hours. I haven’t had to charge it yet as the speaker hasn’t made any kind of noise letting me know the battery is low.

Price/Value

In my last Bluetooth Speaker review, I said that the UE Roll was the speaker to buy as the price of it was only $99. I’d like to take that back and give the title to Inateck for proving an even better valued Bluetooth speaker with a price tag of $50.

Wrap Up

Still looking for that one Bluetooth speaker with great sound and an affordable price? Look no further. Let Inateck be your choice. I’ve left my UE Roll at home and now carry around this beast in my backpack.
