Samsung Electronics Canada has announced that it will be opening its first Canadian Galaxy Studio in Toronto. More specifically, the studio will launch at the CF Sherway Gardens in Toronto. The studio launch comes after successful executions in London, New York, Seoul and Singapore.

According to Samsung, the studio will feature interactive, pop-up product experiences including the Gear S2, Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5. Visitors will be able to interact with these devices and experience first-hand new product offerings. Users will also get to experience the virtual reality unit Samsung’s created, the Gear VR. There will be sound camp mixing stations using the S6 edge+ and the Note5. Speaking of the Note5, studio attendees can use the new Note to make GIFs and badges. Have a new Samsung device or bought one at the event and forgot to transfer data over? No problem, as Samsung has smart switch stations. Mark Childs, Chief Brand Officer at Samsung Electronics Canada, is looking forward to bringing the experience to Toronto.

“The Samsung Global Galaxy Studio has been a hit with consumers in other major cities, and we are extremely excited to be bringing the experience and brand to life in Toronto,” he said.  “The interactive Studio will get Canadians closer to immersive mobile experiences through Samsung’s innovative technologies.”

While the S6 edge+ and the Note5 will be featured, Samsung will focus on the recently-launched Gear S2 smartwatch. You’ll be able to interact with it, and Samsung will be showing off its features pretty heavily. But that’s not all. Today, at 5 p.m., multi-JUNO award-winning rockers, Arkells, will perform an acoustic show and it’s free to attend.

The Studio event will run from today, Oct. 23 through Sunday, Nov. 8, and will be a preview of what’s to come when the Samsung Canada Brand Experience Store launches in the new North Expansion at the CF Sherway Gardens. The store will be the first standalone location in Ontario and will be its largest retail footprint in Canada.

So if you’re in the area and happen to be a lover of technology, or Samsung specifically, you should check it out. We have the full presser for you below. Those of you in or near Toronto, will you be checking this out? Let us know in the comments below or on social media.
